The keeper of the age-old Belarusian traditions

The information and cash center of the National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Nesvizh" hosted the opening of the exhibition of embroidery by Elena Dubinich "The Capitals of the Republican "Dozhinki (1996 - 2013)".

The opening of the exhibition was attended by the chairman of the District Council of Deputies Valery Lazyuk, Deputy chairman of the Nesvizh District Executive Committee Alexander Baltenkov, employees of the central district library named after P. Pronuzo, as well as students of the design department of the Nesvizh State College. Yakub Kolas, who came to get acquainted with the works of Elena Ivanovna and learn more about her life and creative path.

As Elena Dubinich herself told, "Dozhinki" is a part of her childhood. Even as a very small 8-year-old girl, she reaped the ears with a sickle along with everyone else, because it was necessary. Despite all the difficulties, in those days people were very united, they were able to enjoy the little things. That is why, when embroidering the coats of arms of the cities where the "Dozhinki" took place, the craftswoman paid great attention to details that showed the achievements of Belarusians in the grain field.
